TransRussia 2020: the event preview

With just over one month to go, we take a look at what you can expect at TransRussia 2020.

Russia’s key transport & logistics exhibition returns this year to Crocus Expo, Moscow, for another 3 days of business and networking.

A vital cog in Russian and international supply chains, TransRussia is all about connecting logistics service providers. We’re celebrating 25 years of doing just that at this year’s trade show.

So, what can you expect at TransRussia 2020?

Your mini TransRussia preview

Unmissable transport & logistics business events

Our event is more than place for business transactions. It is also the key source of intelligence and information on Russian cargo transport and the wider logistics sector.

Our Business Programme of keynotes will be one of the most expansive ever crafted for TransRussia.

Across keynotes, practical sessions, workshops and guest talks, TransRussia dives deep into the big issues affecting freight transport. All information is delivered by transportation experts and thought leaders for insider knowledge from those in the know.

Full details can be found on the Business Programme page, but we’ve picked out some of the must-attend sessions below:

Development of Cargo Transportation in Russia: Trends, prospects & restrictors in the Era of Digitalisation
  • 13 April – 10:30 – 12:00 – TransRussia Main Arena (Pavilion 1.4)

One of the main challenges facing Russia’s economy is digitalisation, optimisation, and automation of the transport sector. Plans are being developed and implementation of digital services is gradually occurring across the industry.

At this open plenary sessions, key topics in this area will be discussed, such as:
  • Growth points and barriers in developing Russia’s transport sector
  • State of Russian transport services and growth plans between 2020-2021
  • Technological and legislative innovations in freight transport
  • Digital technologies as an element of combining transport modes
  • Seamless intermodal and multimodal cargo transport as a driver for increasing customer service levels

Last mile: How to make logistics part of customer service?
  • 14 April – 16:10-17:30 – Conference Hall C (Pavilion 1.1)

This year, TransRussia presents the eCommerce Logistics Conference. Building logistics in this market segment is a top challenge, especially as online retail sales are expected to have major impact on Russian transport & logistics as the decade progresses.

This third session in the wider eCommerce Logistics Conference looks at expanding the 3pl and 4pl segments to provide seamless end-to-end and final mile transport services for Russian consumers.

Retail Club – Club of Directors for Logistics & Supply Chains
  • April 15 – 11:00–13:30 – TransRussia Main Arena - Pavilion 1.4

The 3rd conference on Manage and Optimisation of Supply Chains takes place on April 15 at TransRussia 2020.

Again, this forms part of the discussion to create better supply chain practices in order to better serve Russia’s growing retail sector.

The Retail Club brings together CEO-level cargo owners and logistics providers for a deep debate into how best practice can be altered to provide seamless delivery across all stages of retail logistics.

More market-leading transport & logistics companies

While the Business Programme helps facilitate business discussion, it’s our exhibitors that are the main focal point for networking and transactions around the exhibition.

As ever, TransRussia will be providing a platform for market leading companies operating across the transportation industry. Big names confirming their participation this year include Fesco, Air Charter Service, and Stena Line, to name but a few.

More than 400 exhibitors will be taking part in 2020’s event, split across four sectors:
  • Freight transportation services
  • Cargo handling services in ports & terminals
  • Breakbulk & project cargo
  • IT solutions for transport & logistics
